Digital Millennium Copyright Act Notice
Memorized That Inc. ("we", "us", or "our") respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 ("DMCA"), we will respond promptly to claims of copyright infringement committed using our service.
Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice
If you believe that content on Memorized That infringes your copyright, please submit a written notification containing the following information:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed, or if multiple works, a representative list.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and that is to be removed, including the URL or other specific location on our service.
- Your contact information, including your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature (or that of a person authorized to act on your behalf).

Counter-Notification
If you believe your content was removed in error, you may file a counter-notification containing:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district.
We will forward counter-notifications to the original complainant. If the complainant does not file a court action within 10-14 business days, we may restore the removed content.
Repeat Infringer Policy
We will terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers of copyright in appropriate circumstances. We consider the following factors: the number of notices received, whether the user has responded to previous notices, and the overall pattern of behavior.
Imported Content Policy
Memorized That allows users to import flashcard content from other platforms (such as Quizlet and Anki) for personal study use. Imported content is automatically restricted:
- Imported topics cannot be monetized (sold for profit on our marketplace)
- Imported topics cannot be cloned by other users
- Users must acknowledge content rights when importing
These restrictions help protect original content creators and intellectual property rights. If you believe that imported content on our platform infringes your copyright, please follow the DMCA takedown notice procedure above.
Good Faith
Please note that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be subject to liability for damages, including costs and attorney fees.
